With the ever-extending lockdown period due to COVID-19, and a completely online semester by IIT Bombay, The Construction Technology and Management Division celebrated Teachers day online to express the gratitude and respect to the faculty of CTaM. The students, both current & alumnus, of CTaM sent their heartfelt wishes to the faculty through video messages & tributes. The celebration reminded everyone that we are a single family at heart and located miles apart.

M.Tech 2019-2021 batch students achieved top ranks at the department level. The entire CTaM family congrats the students for their hard work.

The Construction Technology and Management Division wishes to congratulate Ms Ann Francis, Ph.D student working under Prof . Albert Thomas on being selected for the prestigious Building Energy Efficiency Higher & Advanced Network (BHAVAN) Fellowship Program. It is a program developed by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF). It intends to promote research and capacity building in the area of Building Energy Efficiency/ Built Environment / Habitat Energy Efficiency through collaborative research between India and US universities. Under this program she is funded to undertake research at a US university for a period of four months as a BHAVAN intern.

The Construction Technology and Management Division set-up a stall exhibiting emerging Technologies and Materials in Construction as part of the technical festival of IIT Bombay Tech-connect 2019-20. The stall attracted curious audience from all age groups who were enthusiastic in understanding about wonder materials in concrete construction and the use of Augmented Reality , Virtual Reality and Computer Vision for construction site planning and safety. Visitors from various streams were enthralled by the progressive research opportunities projected by the students of CTaM. CTaM is grateful for the constant support and encouragement of the faculty and the enthusiasm of the students for representing the Civil Engineering Department in Tech-fest 2019-20.

The Construction Technology and Management Division wishes to congratulate the M-Tech students on securing placements in various national and international organizations in the first phase of the placement season. The organizations include Murata Manufacturing, Mace Group, RAAM Group, Yogesh Enterprises etc. in profiles related to Operations management, Consultant, Project Manager Quality Assurance Manager etc. We wish them good luck in their future endeavors.

The Construction Technology and Management Division celebrated Teachers day to express the gratitude and respect to the faculty of CTaM who play a great role in preparing the students for the future. The alumni of CTaM also sent their heartfelt wishes to the faculty through video messages. The celebration also marked the launch of an exclusive T-Shirt for the specialization. A musical tribute and an ode were dedicated to the faculty by the students. The celebration was filled with laughter, joy, and gratitude by the wonderful family of Construction Technology and Management in IIT Bombay.

The Construction Technology and Management Division proudly presents its second batch of M-tech Students who have been awarded the degrees in the 57th convocation of IIT Bombay on 10th August 2019. 10 students received their M-Tech degree certificates in the department convocation ceremony. The faculty and team congratulated the graduating students and shared the glory of their achievement. CTaM specialization wishes our second batch of Alumni all success for the future.

The CTaM specialisation wishes to congratulate Himanshu Rai our M-Tech student, on securing second position in academic performance across all M-tech specialisations in the graduating batch of 2017-2019, Civil Engineering Department , IIT Bombay.

A 3 day training on Primavera(P6) was organised for the students in association with Infinity PMC Private limited. It introduced the various aspects of scheduling using P6 covering aspects of Resource management, Time management, Cost management , Risk management and Portfolio Management.

IIT Bombay in association with IIT Madras and Vector Corrosion Technologies conducted a seminar on Cathodic Protection. The seminar was intended to educate our engineers on how to assess and control corrosion in concrete structures. The seminar discussed the theme with a blend of underlying scientific principles and research/practice-oriented viewpoints. The key note speaker for the event was Dr. George Sergi who is the Technical Director at Vector Corrosion Technologies and has several international patents on corrosion protection of steel reinforcement. He has 20 years of research experience in the fundamentals of concrete durability and corrosion as applied to steel reinforced concrete. Other Guest speakers for the seminar were Dr. Radhakrishna G. Pillai from IIT Madras who delivered a session on the dire need to go for cathodic protection in Indian scenario; Mr. Liao Haixue and Mr. Dhruvesh Shah from vector corrosion technologies who shared their experiences on corrosion protection and Mr. Deepak K. Kamde, research scholar from IIT Madras who demonstrated the working principles of cathodic protection systems. Dr. Prakash Nanthagopalan and Dr. Muhammad Salman - faculty from CTaM specialisation of IIT Bombay coordinated the seminar for IIT Bombay and also shared their viewpoints about the corrosion scenario and the necessity for remedial measures. The session enlightened the attendees by provide tips to minimise premature corrosion and extend the life of new & existing structures.

The Construction Technology and Management Division celebrated Teachers day on 5th September 2018. It was an occasion to gather and express our heartfelt gratitude towards the Guru's of CTaM for their support, guidance and care towards the family. The students of CTaM organised a wonderful gathering graced by the presence of all the faculty of CTaM.

The Construction Technology and Management Division wishes to congratulate Prof. Prakash Nanthagopalan on receiving the award of Excellence in Teaching as part of the Departmental Excellence in Teaching Awards conferred by the Institute on Teachers Day, 2018. A truly deserving honour and CTaM family is proud to have Prof. Prakash as part of our team.

The Construction Technology and Management Division proudly presents its first batch of M.tech students who have been awarded the degrees in the 56th convocation of IIT Bombay on 11th August 2018. The specialisation has achieved a milestone and is set to steer higher in the years to come. The faculty and team congratulated the graduating students and shared the glory of their achievement. CTaM specialisation of Civil engineering Department wishes this first batch of Alumni all success for the future.

Prof Cyrus M. Dordi was felicitated for his great contribution to the development and growth of the CTaM specialisation. All the faculty and staff of CTaM wished him good luck for his future endeavours and are looking forward for his valuable mentorship in future as well.
